Adventure Club - Leash & Recall IRL

Service Description

Be ready for the summer with your dog! In this class we will meet at Katherine Abbott nature preserve each week for a group hike with a specific focus on leash skills and recalls and learning about our dogs sensory and enrichment needs. There will be time for individual coaching on your goals. Come prepared to learn, bond with your dog, and/or make friends who love their dogs and love to hike! There will be more space than a group class. And dogs are on long lines which usually make them less reactive. But dogs with moderate or extreme leash reactivity should do some private sessions first so the dog can be comfortable outdoors on a 20 foot long line around other dogs. Note: Participants will have some autonomy about where they go. But the terrain can be a bit steep and bumpy. Bring: 20 foot non retractable long line Bait pouch with a mixture of high and medium value treats Weather Contingency: The class will happen rain or shine. In the event of Thunder/lightening or heat index over 90 each participant will get a 15 minute private zoom session during class time in lieu of class.
