Confidence Club is specialized, small group enrichment programming designed and run by trainers. A “daycare within a daycare” to meet the specific developmental and social emotional needs of young puppies and cautious, nervous, or dog selective dogs.

In partnership Call Of The K9 & Dog Days are extremely excited to offer a trainer developed and run Confidence Club and a Puppy Best Start program!!
The program offered at Dog Days Vandalia location is a “daycare within a daycare” designed specifically for dogs to develop generalized confidence and social comfort with people and dogs.
What is Confidence Club?
Confidence Club is specialized, small group enrichment programing designed and run by trainers. A “daycare within a daycare” to meet the specific developmental and social emotional needs of young puppies and cautious, nervous, or dog selective dogs.
When is Confidence Club?
Currently Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-3:30 at Dog Days Vandalia. Drop off between 7 and 9:30 AM, Pick up between 3:30 and 6:30 PM
Which dogs might benefit from Confidence Club?
If your dog is slow to warm to people or dogs, nervous, or fearful this may be the perfect thing. Some examples of dogs who this program is designed for.
Commercial Breed (“puppy mill”) Rescues
Rescue dogs imported from out of state with little or no early socialization or other cautious behaviors
Dogs who are generally nervous or cautious
Dogs with long boarding stays or heavy daycare use (who might burn out with that much group play but don’t want to be kenneled the whole time either)
What happens at Confidence Club?
Dogs are in a separate section of the building with their own playroom, potty space, suites, and crates. All confidence club activities are designed and supervised by professional trainers. You will receive a report card and pictures each visit!
Activities include:
Small group, facilitated play/socializing
Professional trainers specializing in social behavior will slowly introduce dogs and guide them through socializing and playing in a way that is enjoyable to all dogs in the room.
Confidence building games
Tunnels and hoops and climbs oh my! Professional trainers will slowly and carefully introduce your dog to new games and equipment building their confidence to play and engage slowly and carefully.
Obedience Training
As dogs become comfortable in the environment obedience games such as group stays are introduced
Relationship building with safe, trained humans
Our trainers know how to connect with your pup and help them feel safe
